And just like that,Rollins is 2.
Rollins is my youngest and 4th nephew, the son of my youngest sister. He was claimed by the world and by many hearts on August 28th 2016- I was there beside my sister the moment he was born. I have never seen anything so beautiful.
Everyone’s lives have been filled with a lot more love, adventure and wonderful since Rollins was born. I could write a book about all the wonderful that little guy is! But, lucky for you, I’m just going to talk about his Birthday parties!
My youngest sister Ali gets all the credit for the themes of Rollins’ Birthday parties but she’ll agree with me that I get some of the credit for making her envisions a reality. She is responsible for a great deal of the decor but I’ll claim some of the effort and so will my mother and Grandmother, too! We are a good team (the women in my family) when it comes to decorating and throwing a good Birthday party…or any party for that matter.
For Rollins First Birthday party Ali decided to have it in my parents back yard being that’s where her first Birthday party was, too. The theme she choose was Charlie Brown!

How cute is all of that?!
Rollins celebrated his first trip around the sun with the cutest 1st Birthday party I’ve ever seen!
It was so much fun to look at all the photos Ali had displayed of Rollins growing throughout his first year of life and everyone had their turn and a blast in the photo booth! The kids ran and played their little hearts out as we all watched along with the sunset that evening!

Now for the celebration of his second trip around the sun the party planning Mama had a minor setback. About 2 weeks prior to the party she was in an accident resulting in the shattering of her right leg. I know, OUCH!! Needless to say, my mother, my sister Emiley and I were in full army mode trying to pull celebration number 2 off. My Nana was out for the count due to a leg injury herself and our older sister had ball games with her middle boy and another party to attend. However, we did the best we could and even though I believe it’s not exactly what Ali wanted, it was still an adorable and very adventurous little Birthday Party!
For Rollins’ 2nd Birthday his Mama decided to go with a minimalist theme party (which I loved)! What I loved even more is she chose to have it on our Pappy’s farm (who passed away not too long ago). Pappy’s farm in Clinton, Kentucky is a place my siblings and I have many great memories. It’s a place we’ve been going to fish, canoe, chase animals, hang out, spend time with family and adventure for as long as we can remember. I couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate Rollins being 2!

The heat was up but so was the fun and getting together at Pappy’s farm again was the icing on the cake! Everyone did a little fishing and ate some some snacks and cake after presents and it was definitely another year of beautiful sunset.
My youngest sister is such a good party planner and an even better Mom! Making sure, not just on his Birthday’s, but every day, Rollins’ is surrounded by the opportunity of fun and love!
I hope you enjoyed seeing what a party looks like with my family and even more than enjoyment; I hope you feel inspired!
