DIY Paper Sack Flower Arrangments

Paper Sack Flower Arrangments

I promised my readers I would try making some flower arrangements this Spring and through the summer so, here is a tutorial on how I made these (which I happen to think turned out pretty cute) paper sack floral arrangements! I have seen these before and think they are so cute! I have always wanted to make some and see how they turned out! I have seen them in stores like TJ Maxx, hometown boutiques and places like that and they’re anywhere from $12 to $45!  The other day I was at one of my favorite stores, The Dollar Tree, and I saw those paper looking gift bags you can buy in packs of 3 and decided I would give it a shot! Keep reading to see what I used and how I made them!

What I used

  1. Pack of 3 brown paper gift bags
  2. scissors
  3. floral foam
  4. floral & greenery stems of your choice
  5. letter stamps and stamp pad if you’re into that look
  6. a ruler and a pen or pencil

What I Did

I took the ruler and drew a straight line at the top of each bag right under where the handles are and cut the top and handles off.

I either folded the tops of each bag over or under and then placed some floral foam in the bottom of each bag.

I took my floral and greenery stems and separated them so I could cut each stem away from the bunch.

I began placing the greenery and flower stems into the floral foam placed inside each bag until I achieved the look I was going for. I used just greenery I one, greenery and some lavender in another, and added some actual flowers in the last one. I really like all 3 of the designs I choose and think they all turned out really cute,

I took some wooden letter stamps (rubber on the bottom) and a stamp pad and stamped bloom on one of the bags, herbs on another one and left one blank. I like the ones with stamped words on them however, I like them blank, too. It’s really just a personal preference and all about the look you’re going for.
